Tech Partners Hawaii is a growing IT managed services firm looking for a motivated, customer-oriented Helpdesk and Field Technician to join our team. You will be part of a team that values teamwork, customer success, and problem-solving in the fast-paced and dynamic IT industry.

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide remote and onsite technical support for our clients throughout Hawaii. The future team member would work remotely from home and visit various client locations as needed. This position requires a valid Hawaii driver’s license, a car, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide first-class customer service and technical support to clients via phone, email, chat, and remote access tools.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for Windows and Mac devices, servers, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and maintain various IT equipment, such as desktop computers, networking equipment, VoIP phones, wireless access points, printers, scanners, etc.
  • Management of Microsoft Office 365 and Azure environments.
  • Perform backup and disaster recovery operations using tools like Veeam, Datto, and others.
  • Document procedures, standards, best practices, configurations, settings, and tickets using our ticketing system and knowledge base.
  • Work collaboratively with other helpdesk and field technicians, as well as systems administrators and engineers.
  • Be available for a rotating one week on-call shift every 5-6 weeks.

Job Requirements

  • A passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems and applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows Server technology, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
  • A driver’s license and a car of your own and the ability to travel to client locations.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to travel interisland as needed.
  • A quiet home office where you can interact with clients via phone without being interrupted.


  • Starting salary $50,000 – $65,0000 annually with a 10% annual bonus paid quarterly.
